And now, let’s review Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream.

I added it into my skincare routine to replace Clinique’s moisturising gel. Here are my opinions!

The fragrance is neutral, since it does not contain perfume: this is an excellent news for those with particularly sensitive skin.

After applying the cream to the face, it is absorbed in a few moments, but its action continues for a long time. In fact, the epidermis becomes softer and I feel it’s nourished, as if it was plumped.

Personally, I find that this cream is slightly more suitable for winter than for the hot season. It can still be used in summer, but its specific nourishing action is excellent for pampering the skin stressed by the intense cold.

The skin isn’t oily nor sticky. Plus, it’s a great makeup base.

I prefer to apply it only in the morning, although it is possible to use it both freshly awake and in the evening. At night, I prefer to choose specific products, such as the Midnight Recovery line by Kiehl’s or a mask created specifcally for the night.

Finally, the price. Here we are in line with Kiehl’s standards and, while we certainly cannot define this product as cheap, its cost is justified by quality.

Let’s analyze in detail the greatest qualities of Ultra Facial Cream.

It has an excellent moisturizing power, which lasts throughout the day. Its action is particularly nutritious and makes it a perfect ally for those who want to fight skin dehydration.

It is an ideal cream to be applied even in those situations that create more stress to our skin (air conditioning, intense cold, very dry environments,…), because it protects and nourishes it.

It also works well as a base for make-up, especially with primers and foundation.

Cons

Let’s now come to the so-called negative aspects of my personal experience with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream.

First of all this is a rich cream, which in itself is not a negative side. But this feature makes it a product not suitable for those with oily skin, as it could be too heavy.

Additionally, I personally prefer tube packs, both for hygiene reasons and because textures seem to be better preserved. Although, I must admit it, with this type of packaging there is no waste of product.

After hearing about it for a long time, I purchased the iconic Matte Revolution lipstick in the Pillow Talk shade, which helped make the Charlotte Tilbury brand so famous.

In fact, the Pillow Talk shade is known for being one of the most versatile lipsticks, a shade that looks good on every skin type.

But is this really the case? I’ll tell you about my experience in this honest review.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick Review

I have to say that I often have a hard time finding lipsticks that have a shade that looks good with my complexion, which is fair and with warm undertones.

And so, when I first saw the Pillow Talk color live, I was a bit puzzled.

Was this the shade everyone was talking so enthusiastically about? It didn’t seem to be very enticing: a kind of brown, uninviting.

But after trying it the first time, I had to reconsider it. Pillow Talk is in fact a nude pink shade that, once applied to the lips, looks very beautiful.

The lipstick is matte and has a pleasant formulation. Even after several hours, the lipstick holds up pretty well to food and drink.

It goes well with both light and heavy makeup.

As for the packaging, I find it elegant. I like the gold case.

Another positive aspect of this lipstick is the square shape of the tip, which allows for precise application, even without the need to use a lip pencil.

Finally, here is the really outstanding feature of this shade: it suits all complexion types!

In fact, it has an excellent balance of warm and cool tones and changes slightly depending on the complexion of the wearer.

So if we have predominantly warm tones, the color of the lipstick will appear more on the pinkish side while if we have cool tones it will have a more neutral connotation.

On me, in fact, it tends toward pink.

Now let’s talk about the downsides of the Pillow Talk lipstick. First, the price: it is not a cheap product. Is it worth it? It is definitely a very good lipstick, but the price remains a bit high in my opinion.

There is to say, however, that the Pillow Talk shade is really super versatile, so I can easily use it to create make ups suitable for different occasions.

After a few hours it remains a bit dry on the lips, so I often apply a clear lip balm over it, which provides hydration and nourishment.

Despite this, would I buy it again? Definitely.

I must say that after an initial hesitation (as you can see from the unboxing on Youtube), it has been true love with this lipstick and in particular with this shade.

It is indeed a lipstick that is suitable for any occasion and goes really well with my complexion without being too flashy. Sure it’s a bit pricey, but it satisfied me and I would love to try other shades.

Is it worth buying it? If we can afford it, it is definitely worth trying it. If, on the other hand, it is too expensive, we can look for dupes. They will not be exactly the same, but we will save a lot.

But are they worth it? I decided to buy a pack and test them to see what results can be achieved. This is the review of my experience with these eye patches.

First of all, let’s find out more about the brand. Pixi Beauty was created by Petra Strand more than 20 years ago.

The brand made its first appearance in the Soho store in London and has continued to expand ever since.

Pixi goal is to bring out our natural beauty, thanks to its multifunction products with innovative formulations.

Among its flagship products, in addition to the eye patches that are the subject of this review, there are also the Glow Tonic, the blush and the detergent, all best sellers.

Pixi has also developed several lines, to meet our most common needs.

What about the price? Pixi products are quite affordable: they are located above the classic products that we can also find at the drugstore, but they are still less expensive than luxury products.

Finally, it’s important to say that this brand adopts a cruelty-free policy. On the contrary, not all products are suitable for those who follow a vegan lifestyle, although between the various lines there are several vegan products.

Pixi eye patches: the product

Let’s analyze the product Pixi Eye Patches.

These patches have the classic, drop shaped, designed to treat the area around the eyes. I noticed that they also are larger than other similar products, so the area actually treated is wider.

They are soaked in a gel serum that contains active ingredients designed to hydrate the area and counteract swelling and dark circles. Additionally, they have no fragrance.

They are stored in a light green, circular jar made of plastic. Each pack contains 60 patches, for a total of 30 uses.

Once the package is opened, we will also find a second lid, which is used to keep the patches separate from the useful plastic scoop, which facilitates picking.

There are 4 different versions of these eye patches:

• BeautifEYE: brightening 
• FortifiEYE: toning.
• Dream-YEYE: regenerating.
• DetoxifEYE: decongestant.

How to use Pixi Eye Patches

How do we use Pixi Eye Patches? First, remember that they should be applied on clean skin, so let’s do a gentle cleansing.

Then we use the scoop included in the package to pick up a couple of patches and gently separate them.

Now we apply a patch on each eye contour, with the thickest part towards the outer corner of the eye.

Let’s wait for 10 minutes and then we can remove the patches.

Some gel will remain on the skin: we can tap gently with the ring fingers.

If we want even stronger results, we can put the eye patches in the refrigerator before using them.

How often should we use them? We can apply them as much as we want to. Additionally, they are suitable for everyday use.

Review: my experience with Pixi Eye Patches

And now, here is my honest review of my experience with Pixi Eye Patches.

Usually I don’t have dark marks under my eyes, but sometimes the area looks swollen. My skin is sensitive and therefore I am always rather cautious when I try a new cosmetic.

However, these patches have never caused me any irritation.

So, how good where them?

First of all, I tried to use these patches at various times of the day, often keeping them for more than 10 minutes. If we have a special event, in my experience it is best to apply them a few hours before it.

They are also good to use when the eye contour is fatigued, especially when you haven’t slept a lot.

In the image below we can see the results after using the patches for the first time.

After removing the patches, the eye contour is more compact and firm.

I also tried to keep them in the fridge for a while: they seem even more effective!

In addition, these patches are also great for those like me, who spend many hours in front of the computer. The tightening effect that is perceived as a particular relief.

The patches are then dipped in plenty of liquid and are well soaked.

Speaking of the packaging, the jar is simple but still aesthetically pleasing. The double cap is also worthwhile.

To sum up, my overall experience is positive.

After using them, I usually apply either Cerave eye contour or Kiehl eye contour, enriched with avocado.

Cons

Now let’s talk about the most critical aspects of these eye patches. In fact, although the overall experience is positive, there are some things that aren’t great.

First of all, it is necessary to be very careful during the first applications. In fact, the patches may be quite slippery once applied to the skin.

In fact, the patches tend to slip away, especially when I am standing.

It also happened once that a patch moved a little while I was lying down. Probably because it was particularly rich in gel.

After the first uses, we could have some serum residues on the skin after a few hours, which form small agglomerations that must be removed. That’s because the gel wasn’t evenly distributed on the patches.

Finally, a few times some patches broke on the sides while I was positioning them, probably due to a nail scratch.

The good news is that most of the downsides are visible only during the first applications. Then they disappear.

Then there is niacinamide, known for its antioxidant properties. Its anti-ageing effect is also enhanced by the presence of ferulic acid.

This list also contains extract of licorice and ginseng, which are anti-inflammatory, toning and revitalizing.

As we said, this is the list of the BeautifEye version. However, I also checked the ingredient lists of the other variants.

Although each of them has some peculiar elements, we often find the same active ingredients in all of them. Caffeine for example is listed in all of them and coconut extract as well as green tea extract are also common.

Brazilian Bum Bum Cream Review

I tried Brazilian Bum Bum Cream for the first time because I found it inside a Lookfantastic box.

I used this body cream for over a month and found both pros and cons.

First of all, it smells great. It smells like summer. It makes you think of the sea and holidays, even if you’re stuck in the city. In addition, the fragrance is resistant and lasts all day.

Then, this cream leaves the skin nourished, soft and hydrated. It also gives it a bright and slightly sparkling appearance. If we are tanned, it emphasizes the color and makes it more uniform.

It does not remain heavy on the skin.

Let’s talk now about the weaknesses of Brazialian Bum Bum Cream. I do not find that it clearly firms the skin, nor improves cellulite. From this point of view, I didn’t see any difference before/after.

But in any case it gives the skin a beautiful brightness that makes it appear more compact. However, this is just an optical effect.

Another cons of this cream is that it is quite expensive.

Does it really hydrate the skin? Well, it depends. If we have normal skin, it’s a good treatment.

If we have very dry skin, I don’t think that’s enough. Also, I wouldn’t use it at sea, after a day spent in the sun.

In fact, it’s a treatment that is highly loved in the beauty world, but what is it really for? Does it deserve the fame it has gained?

First of all, let’s talk a little bit about Kieh’ls.

Kiehl’s is an American company with many years of experience in the cosmetics industry.

It was founded in New York, in the East Village, in 1851. Since then, it has continued to expand and deepen its research.

In addition to that, the company is committed to philanthropy.

I have purchased many products from Kiehl’s over the last few years and I think that it’s a very reliable brand. One of the best way to discover its best seller products, it’s to but the Advent Calendar: the quality/price ratio is excellent.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Serum, the product

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate serum (often called Midnight Serum) is a facial serum designed to act during the night. It is one of the brand’s best-selling products, loved by both women and men.

This nighttime serum comes in the form of a colorless liquid with an intense scent. It is contained in a glass bottle, equipped with a dropper.

Both the name, with the use of the term Midnight, and the packaging of this serum allude to its nighttime use.

The bottle in which the serum is contained is indeed midnight blue color. The gold lettering and the refined typography used suggest that it is a luxurious product.
Which it indeed is.

We find this Kiehl’s night serum for sale in 4 different formats: 15 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml or 100 ml.

Review of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate: did I like it?

I have heard a lot about Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Serum, and for this reason, I was very happy to find it inside the Advent Calendar I had purchased.

In this regard, I must say that I was very satisfied with the purchase because in this calendar, I also found the matching eye contour and cleanser: how nice to be able to test all the products of the Midnight Recovery line!

Returning to Kiehl’s night serum, I apply it to my face after cleaning it, during the evening routine, avoiding the eye contour.

I used it to replace The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid Serum.

Initially, I thought of applying the Kora Organics Noni face oil (which I love), after this night serum, but the combination of the two seemed too rich to me.

I think I will use these two products alternating them in my evening skincare routine because I really like both of them.

I like the composition of the Midnight Recovery serum, which combines so many different oils (and also contains powerful elements, such as Omega 3 and 6!) in one product, without being too heavy.

The texture is also very pleasant because it feels like this serum remains lighter than a classical face oil.

I have noticed that it is more convenient (at least for the first applications) to spread one drop of serum at a time, in order to understand how much product is really needed.

If the skin appears too greasy in fact, it may not be a serum defect, but rather we may have applied an excessive amount.

Definitely, a distinctive aspect of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Serum is its fragrance. In fact, the essential and botanical oils contained in the product give it an intense scent. Which can be liked or not.

Personally, I find it very pleasant!

Results, positive and negative sides of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate

As I mentioned, I have already been able to see how oils can have beneficial effects on our skin. This experience has been confirmed by the use of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate serum.

In my opinion, Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a rich serum, but it absorbs easily and leaves the skin nourished.

In the list of ingredients there’s also lavender oil, known for its relaxing properties. I confirm its effect on me as well.

Now let’s talk about the results I have noticed!

Results after 2 weeks of treatment: the skin feels softer to the touch.
Results after 4 weeks of treatment: upon waking up, the skin looks great. It’s as if the face has a “new glow”. The complexion is improved, as well as the tone.

On the other hand, I haven’t noticed any changes when it comes to fine wrinkles. So if we want an anti-ageing product, it is better to look for something else.

Any downsides? The fragrance is intense, which may not be liked by everyone.

Another aspect to keep in mind is the high concentration of essential and botanicals oils, which may not be suitable for those who are highly sensitive to these components.

However, my skin did not have any problems of this kind.

Having said that, I have not found any other downsides to highlight.

Final consideration regarding the price: it is a treatment that belongs to the middle/luxury range. Bearing in mind the composition and the results I have obtained, I do not consider the price a negative aspect.

Now let’s see what Kiehl’s Midnight Serum is used for.

This product contains a concentrated mix of essential and botanicals oils, with 99.8% of naturally sourced ingredients.

How does the night serum work?

The product is formulated to act during nighttime rest, that is when our skin is most receptive.

In fact, the oil repairs the skin from daily aggressions and at the same time it moisturizes and stimulates cellular renewal.

It is a suitable serum for all skin types and especially recommended as an anti-aging serum.

Finally, Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Serum is easily absorbed and does not leave the skin greasy.

Who should use it?

For what types of skin is Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate suitable for?

It is definitely suitable for normal skin.

If our skin is very oily instead, we may find this oil a bit too rich.

In this case, my advice is to try it out by either buying the serum in the smallest 15 ml format or by trying a sample.

On the other hand, if we have dry skin, we will love it!

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is also an ideal nighttime serum for revitalizing the skin, so if our skin starts to show signs of aging, this is definitely a product that is suitable for us.

But that’s not all! This serum can be used at any age, because everyone can benefit from its properties.

How to use it

Using Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is very simple.

After cleansing the skin, we must apply 2 or 3 drops of Midnight Serum on the face, then massaging the epidermis with gentle movements, to promote absorption.

After the application of the serum, if we wish we can apply our usual night treatment.

In addition, we can mix a few drops of serum with our usual night moisturizer.

In addition, I find it particularly suitable for fall and winter, while in summer it could be a little too heavy.

Let’s now analyze some of the components of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate , in particular the main oils.

Evening primrose oil helps to repair the skin barrier and intensify the radiance of our skin. Lavender oil has calming and soothing properties.

Rosehip is known to contain essential fatty acids, vitamin A and E, which give it anti-inflammatory and antioxidant abilities. It also improves the elasticity and hydration of the skin. Those functions also performed by jojoba oil.

Squalane is instead a moisturizing oil extracted from the olive, which shows great affinities with the lipids naturally present in our skin. It absorbs easily and is known to help the skin stay soft and supple.

Coriander oil is a good antioxidant, as is geranium oil, which also has anti-inflammatory properties. Rosemary oil is used for its characteristic scent.

Finally, cucumber extract is used in cosmetics for its antioxidant abilities, as well as turmeric extract (also contained in the Kora Organics Turmeric Mask).

This facial serum is part of Garnier Skin Active line and it stands out for its light formulation, which acts to reduce the appearance of dark spots while at the same time helping to brighten the skin.

So it’s a great product for pigmentation and discoloration troubles.

Thanks to niacinamide it can also be used by those with acne-prone skin.

Here are the results obtained from the tests carried out directly by Garnier:

Garnier Vitamin C Serum Review: my personal experience

This is my experience with Garnier Vitamin C Serum, after using it for more than a month.

Premise: my skin is mixed and sensitive, with some spots caused by hyper pigmentation.

It is precisely to combat the latter that I started using this Garnier serum. In addition, the color of my skin appears tired and dull (especially in winter): it really needs a burst of energy.

That’s why I started tried using Garnier‘s lightening serum in the morning, in the evening or at both times of the day, to see the different reactions of my skin.

The fragrance of the serum is light and the lemon notes in the new formulation are just hinted at.

The serum is easy to spread on the face, it is lightweight and it is absorbed within ten seconds (as long as you don’t apply too much of it).

It is definitely a pleasant product to use. I also like the fact that it doesn’t stick.

After two weeks of use, my skin was more beautiful: it is in fact brighter and more compact. Then, after a month of regular use, I noticed that the spots on the skin actually started to become less noticeable.

As for the packaging, I find it simple but practical: thanks to the opaque glass we can in fact see how much serum remains inside the bottle. Cool!

Finally, this cerum certainly has an excellent quality/price ratio (especially in the online stores that we find indicated in the section on where to buy it).

What are the most interesting active ingredients in this formulation? We have 3 of them:

First of all we have niacinamide, one of the most loved ingredients in the skincare world. This is because it has soothing properties and at the same time it strengthens the skin’s natural barrier, making the pores smaller.

We also found it in The Ordinary 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc serum, that I like (and which I recently repurchased, as it is so good).

Then we find vitamin C, which helps make the skin brighter and reduce skin spots. But there’s even more.

In fact, it is a powerful antioxidant, capable of neutralizing free radicals caused by ultraviolet radiation, pollution or smoke. It also seems that this active helps in the prevention of collagen loss.

Finally, salicylic acid acts as a gentle exfoliant and is also used to fight acne. It removes dead skin cells, leaving the skin fresh and glowing, without stressing it out.

In one of my last orders of cosmetic products, I couldn’t help but include some products from Kora Organics.

I discovered this company last year, when I first tried noni face oil. It was love… at first use!

In fact, it is a product that I have not wanted to give up and that I include on a rotating basis in my skincare routine.

My enthusiasm for this oil was so great that I continued for a long time to focus on other products of Kora Organics, determined to test them.

I wanted to know if that first experience was a lucky case, or if the company is really able to create several excellent products.

So in my last order I also wanted to include the Turmeric Brightening Exfoliating Mask and the oil for the eye contour.

I was long undecided between the turmeric mask and the noni mask, but then I decided to leave the second for a future purchase.

Before diving into the Turmeric Brightening Exfoliating Mask review, let’s talk about Kora Organics.

The line of personal care products includes masks, oils, serums, detergents, exfoliators but also food supplements.

Kora Organics has also won numerous awards. It is characterized by natural and organic ingredients.

In line with this philosophy, no sulphates, fragrances, synthetic colours, parabens, silicones, formaldehydes or formaldehyde derivatives are used in the beauty products.

Finally, the company is cruelty free.

What’s the Turmeric Lightening and Exfoliating Mask created by Miranda Kerr

Kora Organics 2-in-1 Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Mask is a 99.8% natural ingredient-based mask, while 75.8% of it is also organic.

I must say, these are impressive numbers!

This turmeric mask can be considered as a 2 in 1 treatment, as it is exfoliating and illuminating.

In fact, while cleansing the skin, this product is also able to reduce the skin discolouration caused by UV rays.

Finally, it is suitable for all skin types and is also suitable for those who follow a vegan lifestyle.

The product has the consistency of a (brownish) cream. Its texture is reminiscent of a scrub, as it contains grains.

How to use Kora Turmeric Mask

Before applying Kora Organics Turmeric Mask, just lightly moisten your face.

Then spread a thin layer of product on the skin, avoiding the eye area.

Leave it on for 5-15 minutes to act.

After the laying time has elapsed, remove the mask using warm water and making circular, gentle movements.

However, if you want a more intense exfoliating effect, you can also remove the mask using a damp cloth.

After the mask, you should apply a moisturizing treatment. In fact, as it is an exfoliating product, you skin will then need sweetness and nourishment.

You could use Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream.

Finally, for best results, use this turmeric mask 2-3 times a week.

The INCI is really impressive. It’s pretty long, but what’s really impressive is the quality of the ingredients used in this mask.

In addition to certified organic turmeric and aloe vera juice, the mask also contains papaya, Aspen bark and powdered dog rose, noni, arrowroot, bamboo and white tea seeds.

There are also numerous oils, such as cedar, peppermint, lavender, sunflower and ylang-ylang.

Review of Kora Organics 2-in-1 Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Mask

We come now to the full review of the Turmeric Brightening Exfoliating Mask.

I used the mask following the instructions of the brand, that is, I applied it on damp skin and left it to act for the maximum recommended installation time (15 minutes).

At first glance, the appearence of the mask isn’t exactly the best. In fact, it appears as a green cream tending to brownish, rather grainy.

The fragrance is intense and reminiscent of a mix of turmeric, ginger and rosemary. However, it is still pleasant and full of energy.

The mask spreads well on the skin and does not run: for this reason it is not necessary to lie down during the treatment. It is also easy to remove. And that’s great!

And now, let’s talk about the results I have achieved.

After rinsing this turmeric mask, my skin is hydrated and smoother. It does not pull, but I still apply a moisturizing product.

There was a problem though. As you know by now, my skin is sensitive and flushes quite easily. After the first application, I had some redish areas on my face. This happened mostly on the forehead and sides of the nose.

I think this side effect is due to skin exfoliation and stimulation, which are actually very effective. Since the second application, therefore, I have reduced the installation time to 10/12 minutes and I have had no more problems. The mask now does its duty and it does it well.

The turmeric mask is therefore promoted, but I advise you to apply it before going to sleep or when you have to stay at home for a few hours.

In my opinion, in fact, it is not the right treatment to do immediately before leaving the house, at least for those who have skin that is easily reddened like mine.

Pumpkin Spice Latte is a warm, invigorating drink, ideal for autumn days.
At first I was quite hesitant about this drink: the combination of coffee and pumpkin didn’t seem so attractive.

Actually, I had to change my mind. Pumpkin Spice Latte is such a delicious drink, with a unique taste.

From a winning Starbucks idea

If we can enjoy this delicious drink today, we have to thank Starbucks. In fact, it was the American coffee chain, founded in Seattle in 1971, that developed this recipe for the first time.

The history of this particular drink began in 2003, when the American giant decided to test some recipes based on coffee and particular ingredients, creating new combinations.
Subjected to a group of consumers, the combination that contains pumpkin and coffee receives several praise.

For this reason, Starbucks decides to continue with the development of the recipe, but it actually choosed to eliminate the pumpkin and it replaced this vegetable with aromas that recall its flavor.

As soon as it is distributed in Starbucks cafés, Pumpkin Spice Latte immediately becomes a hit.
Sold only during the autumn period (from September to November), this beverage becomes one of the flagship products of the American chain, and every year it is a sales record in the fall period.

Finally, in 2015 Starbucks decided to modify the original recipe, replacing the artificial flavours and colourings with the actual pumpkin, making the drink much healthier.
Pumpkin Spice Latte is also available in Starbucks cafés in Italy, usually from the end of September and throughout the autumn.

The ingredients to prepare Pumpkin Spice Latte

• 250 ml cold water
• 150 g brown sugar
• 50 g steamed and smoothied pumpkin
• half a cup of milk
• a cup of espresso coffee
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 pinch ginger powder
• 1 pinch of nutmeg powder
• whipped cream (optional😋)

How to make a delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte at home

First of all, let’s prepare the spicy syrup, which will give our Pumpkin Spice Latte an unmistakable taste.

So we put the 250 ml of water in a saucepan and add the cane sugar. We keep the medium heat down and keep stirring, so that the sugar melts.

When we reach the boil point, we add the steamed pumpkin and the spices (cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg). Them we lower the heat to a minimum and let the aromatic syrup thicken: it will take about 10 minutes. After that, the syrup will have a dense and homogeneous consistency. Let’s put it out the flame and save it.

Now let’s make the espresso.

The ideal thing now would be to have an electric milk mount to heat the milk and form the froth 😍 I use the Aeroccino by Nespresso and I really like it! In two minutes a foam of milk is formed, wonderfully dense!

If we don’t have an electric milk mount, we can use a manual milk mount or simply heat the milk and … shake it😉.

At this point, we take a cup and put two tablespoons of spicy syrup, add the espresso coffee and finally the whipped milk. If we want a super pampering, we also add some whipped cream. Finally, garnish with a sprinkling of cinnamon.

And here, our Pumpkin Spice Latte is ready to be enjoyed!
It is an ideal drink for autumn snacks, or to sip while watching a good movie, on the sofa under a cozy blanket 🥰.

Some more tips

According to my personal taste, this is the ideal combination of spices, but of course you can correct the doses of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg to adapt the taste of the drink to your preferences.

If you want, you can also add a pinch of clove powder.
The drink does not need to be sweetened, as it already contains the spicy syrup.

This spicy syrup can be stored in a jar tightly closed and kept in the refrigerator.

As for the type of milk, the ideal is to use fresh whole milk. If we want to prepare a vegan Pumpkin Spice Milk, we can replace it with a vegetable milk.

This simple recipe allows us to prepare at home a Pumpkin Spice Latte like the Starbucks’ one, perfect to be enjoyed throughout the autumn.

By the way, while preparing this recipe, the house is filled with a unique, aromatic and enveloping scent!

During summer, Marco and I like hiking and discovering breathtaking landscapes. That’s why we organize short getaways, away from the city.

In one of these trips, we decided to discover Valle Pusteria, in Trentino Alto Adige. We stayed at the Naturhotel Die Waldruhe, a luxurious hotel located near Corti/Chienes.

As soon as we saw it, we immediately realized that the Naturhotel Die Waldruhe would be the perfect hotel for our stay in South Tyrol. And our expectations have not been betrayed!

Naturhotel Die Waldruhe was renovated in 2011 and the love of nature is palpable from the beginning in this design hotel. The rooms are elegant and modern, with a wide use of wood. And that’s something that I really appreciated.

The owners decided to use materials such as spruce and larch wood, of local origin, to make an even clearer connection between the building and the surrounding environment.

This attention to detail is palpable throughout the structure.
The effect obtained is that of a warm, refined and welcoming environment. We really felt at home.

Naturhotel Die Waldruhe: a charming location, surrounded by nature

Naturhotel Die Waldruhe is located on the edge of a thick forest and from the hotel you can also enjoy a breathtaking view.

You feel immersed in nature simply by drinking a coffee on the panoramic terrace: such a relaxing experience.

Check in

From the outset, you understand the standard by which the Naturhotel Die Waldruhe takes care of its guests.

In fact, we were immediately offered a welcome aperitif, to be enjoyed inside the bar area or directly on the terrace.

In addition, all the staff with whom we had the opportunity to interact during our stay was kind and caring.

The room

There are many types of rooms in this design hotel: from the most basic rooms (but still refined and elegant) to the most exclusive suites.

We stayed in a Suite Panorama Lodge. Upon entering, I had one, simple thought: “Wow.” 
It is a luxurious accommodation of almost 40 square meters , with an adjoining panoramic loggia of 14 square meters, facing south.

A beautiful hammock is positioned in the loggia, which allows you to swing gently looking at the woods.

The Panorama Lodge Suite has several rooms: the actual bedroom, the living area, the loggia and a large bathroom.

The use of wood prevails in this suite, which creates a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.

In the room you’ll also find a kit with everything you need to enjoy the wellness area: slippers, bathrobe and a large towel.

Finally, the bed is very comfortable.

Food and drink

With regard to the food, we were very satisfied.

In fact, in the kitchen they mainly use organic and locally sourced foods. And we appreciated this choice. The dishes were actually delicious.

Breakfast is buffet style and I was especially won over by the bread. Or rather, from the different types of bread. As I’m a true lover of this food, every meal was a joy!

Naturhotel Die Waldruhe also prepares a tasty snack, offering bread, mixed cold cuts and various desserts.

Let’s talk about dinner.
In addition to the buffet of appetizers and salads, a menu of your choice is served at the table. There are 5 courses in total.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the fact that, at breakfast, I had to take hot drinks from a distributors.
The drinks were good, but transporting them to the table was a bit uncomfortable.

The Spa of Naturhotel Die Waldruhe

The wellness area of the Naturhotel Die Waldruhe is a little gem.
In fact, the spa adds that little extra to the hotel.

After a day of walks surrounded by nature, it is so amazing that you can experience a relaxing break.

The wellness area of the Naturhotel Die Waldruhe is characterized by saunas and swimming pools, arranged on two levels.

On the fourth floor, the wellness area is reserved for adults. Here you can find an outdoor panoramic pool, sauna, outdoor relaxation area with sun loungers, shower and rest beds (perhaps filled with hay? I don’t know, but they were very comfortable!).

On the -1st floor there is an indoor heated swimming pool (with outdoor access), a sauna, turn bathroom, relaxation area and herbal tea is served, too.

My favourite part was undoubtedly the outdoor swimming pool (with hydromassage), located on the upper floor and offering a magnificent view of the surrounding views.

Access to the spa is free.

The highlights of our stay at Naturhotel Die Waldruhe

There are many nice aspects of this structure, but surely I was struck by three elements: the spa, the food and the location of the Naturhotel Die Waldruhe.

It is a hotel with personality, perfect for spending a romantic, luxurious weekend in Val Pusteria.

As for the company philosophy, it was particularly nice to see the close connection that the structure wants to maintain with the surrounding area.

This can be seen, for example, in the choices regarding the materials used in the hotel, or in the selection of ingredients used in the kitchen.

To summ it up, we can say that we felt really pampered at Naturhotel Die Waldruhe. I definetely recommend this hotel for a luxurious and relaxing holiday in Val Pusteria.
